About John
John Rizzo is running for State Representative because he believes the 40th District can be great again. The only candidate in this race who is a life long resident of Northeast. John knows the history of the area, and has a unique perspective on improving our neighborhoods and overall quality of life. John and his wife Lindsay live in Columbus Park where John grew up and have been married for two years. His wife Lindsay is a public interest attorney and they have shown that they are committed to helping our community.
The Rizzo family has lived in Northeast since the 1920's and John is the third of four generations currently residing in Northeast. Throughout the years the Rizzo family has been a major part of the Northeast community, Henry Rizzo (John's Father) was our State Representative for almost two decades. Passing legislation to help Northeast, like historic tax credits for home renovations, and many other successes. Henry is now the current Jackson County Legislature Chairman representing all of Jackson County and securing funding through programs to benefit Northeast. Silvia Rizzo (John's Mother) was a Jackson County Legislator in the 1990's, and has been active in Northeast for decades.
He has the energy and commitment required to make state government work for the benefit of Northeast.
